Abstract
[cat] La present tesi doctoral, concebuda a partir de la consulta d’una part dels fons notarials medievals de les viles de Castelló d’Empúries i Peralada (aproximadament 450 volums datats entre els anys 1260 i 1360), té l’objectiu de determinar com es va organitzar la mòlta de cereals i el batanatge de teixits al comtat d’Empúries i al vescomtat de Rocabertí durant la baixa edat mitjana, més concretament des de finals del segle XIII fins mitjan segle XIV. L’estudi es divideix en tres grans apartats. En el primer (capítols 1 i 2), es parla dels aspectes vinculats amb la propietat de les instal•lacions i la fiscalització que les autoritats senyorials i municipals van dur a terme de las activitats que s’hi realitzaven. En el segon bloc (capítols 3 i 4) s’analitzen les característiques dels molins i les seves infraestructures, així com certes qüestions sobre la seva planificació, construcció i manteniment. Finalment, en els últims capítols (5, 6 i 7), es fa referència als mecanismes i contractes utilitzats per procedir a l’administració i explotació de les diverses instal•lacions.
[eng] The present doctoral thesis, conceived from the consult to a part of the medieval notarial funds of the villas of Castelló d’Empúries and Peralada (approximately 450 volumes that are dated between the ages 1260 and 1360), has the determinate how the grinding cereals et fulling tissues were organized in the county of Empúries and the Rocabertí’s viscounty during the Low Middle Age, concretely from at the end of the thirteen century until the middle of the fourteen century. This study is divided in to big three blocks. In the first one (chapters one and two) deal with the aspects that are blind with the facility’s property and the inquiry that the lordly authorities had done to the activities that were realized. In the second one (chapters three and four) I have analysed the mill’s characteristics and their facilities and also the questions about their planning, construction and maintenance. And finally, in the last chapters (five, six and seven) I have talk about the mechanisms and contracts used to behave to the administration and exploitation of the some facilities.
