Abstract

[en] A prey-predator model is a reaction-diffusion system that describes the prey and predator population densities evolution in an ecosystem. Turing patterns are geometrical patterns such as lines or spots that can arise naturally from the perturbation of a reaction-diffusion system initially in equilibrium. The main purpose of this project is to study a prey-predator model with ratio-dependent Holling type II functional response. We have seen the characteristics this system must fulfil in order to arise Turing patterns. We wanted to illustrate these patterns graphically; for that reason, we have simulated the system numerically using a finite differences method, the Euler method.
