[cat] Aquest treball fa un estat de la qüestió i recull les principals evidències que tenim sobre el poblament rural a Ponent, la plana de Lleida, entre els segles VIII i XII, un període marcat pel domini musulmà, la fragmentació política i la posterior conquesta cristiana.
A través d’una revisió bibliogràfica i arqueològica, s’estudien els espais ocupats, els assentaments, les transformacions del paisatge i l’organització territorial. L’estudi destaca la continuïtat d’alguns patrons d’ocupació i la progressiva adaptació de les comunitats rurals a un entorn polític i social en canvi constant.
[eng] This study provides an overview and a compilation of main evidences we have about the rural settlement in the Lleida plain (Ponent) between the 8th and 12th centuries, a period marked by Muslim control, political fragmentation, and the later Christian conquest. Using a combination of bibliographic and archaeological sources, it examines settlement patterns, landscape changes, and territorial organization. The research emphasizes continuity in certain occupation models and the gradual adaptation of rural communities to a changing sociopolitical environment.
