Neuropsicología de la zurdería: Conocimientos actuales

[spa] Un 10% de la población es zurda o no diestra. Su organización cerebraly sus habilidades cognitivas pueden diferir respecto a los sujetos diestros. Nuestros conocimientos actuales están lejos de conocer su etiologia. La literatura cientifica es lo suficientemente amplia como interesante revisar sus principales aportaciones. Los estudios experimentales abarcan los últimos 30 años, pero la presente revisión se centra en los estudios de los últimos 10 años. De ellos se concluye que en neuropsicologia de la zurderia existen grandes desacuerdos. La investigación necesita distinguir tipos de zurderia o no dextralidad, mientras no se demuestre que existe un único tipo de zurdería.

[eng] About 10% of the population is left-handed or non-right-handed. Its brain organization and cognitive skills could differ in relation to right-handed subjects. Our current knowledge is far of get to know its etiology. The scientific literature is sufficiently wide as interesting to review its main contributions. The experimental studies undertake the last 30years, but this current revision is centred on studies from the last 10 years. From them it is concluded that in Neuropsychology of the left-handedness there are great disagreements. The investigation needs to distinguish types ofleft-handedness or non-right handedness, while it is not demonstrated that there is a single type ofleft-andedness.
