Impacte del despoblament rural al Prepirineu: el cas de la Serra de Catllaràs

Abstract

[cat] Com a tota la muntanya mitjana mediterrània, el Catllaràs encara pateix a dia d’avui les conseqüències del despoblament experimentat el segle passat, lluny de les noves dinàmiques turístiques que es donen a l’Alt Pirineu. El despoblament, doncs, és un fenomen que ha modificat aquest territori del Prepirineu, deixant uns municipis amb una població significativament envellida; i un canvi significatiu en el paisatge en què la superfície forestal ha guanyat lloc als antics conreus i pastures de muntanya. Alhora, es tracta d’un territori amb un gran potencial d’oportunitats que, en funció de quines polítiques duguin a terme els diferents agents, poden revertir els efectes del despoblament i ajudar a fixar la població al territori.

[eng] As in other mid-altitude Mediterranean mountain environments, the Catllaràs district still suffers the consequences of the depopulation trend occurred during the last century, far from the new tourism dynamics of the High Pyrenees. Depopulation has modified this Pre-Pyrenean region, leading to population ageing,as well as significant changes in the landscape, with forest surface replacing the former crop fiels and grassland areas. At the same time, this area has a great potential of opportunities that, depending on the policies carried out by the agents, can reverse the depopulation effects and contribute to the settlement of the people in the area.
