[spa] ¿Porque hay pocas las mujeres que se dedican a la música? Frente a esta pregunta, el presente trabajo propone hacer una aproximación a la realidad de las mujeres en el sector de la música y explorar, desde el conocimiento situado, las ventajas y desventajas que supone el hecho de ser mujer en un sector fuertemente masculinizado. También se pretende hacer una aproximación desde la musicología feminista que revindica el papel activo y los aportes que las mujeres han hecho a la historia de la música. De esta manera, los siguientes capítulos tratan sobre la lucha que sostienen las mujeres en la apropiación de los espacios de sociabilidad musical, así como las barreras que experimentan ante la falta de reconocimiento de su papel activo en este sector. De la misma forma, se aborda el papel que ha tenido el feminismo como elemento transformador de esta realidad y que se materializa en la implementación de políticas que favorezcan al crecimiento personal y profesional de las mujeres en el terreno de la música.
[eng] Why are there few women who dedicate themselves to music? Faced with this question, the present work proposes to make an approximation to the reality of women in the music sector and to explore, from situated knowledge, the advantages and disadvantages of being a woman in a highly masculinized sector. It is also intended to make an approach from feminist musicology that claims the active role and contributions that women have made to the history of music. In this way, the following chapters deal with the struggle that women sustain in the occupation of spaces of musical sociability as well as the barriers they experience due to the lack of recognition of their active role in this sector. In the same way, the role that feminism has had as a transforming element of this reality is addressed and that materializes in the implementation of policies that favor the personal and professional growth of women in the field of music.
