dc.description.abstract[eng] This paper aims to analyze, and compare Célestin Freinet’s methodology and Task-Based Language Teaching. Consequently, proposing an adaptation of the Freinetian approach into TBLT methodology. The research is mainly focused around three books written by Célestin Freinet (1973; 1996; 2005), and one written by Michael Long (2015). Freinet’s methodology pursues natural acquisition connected to students’ needs, and interests. It fosters motivation through experimentation and communication between learners. TBLT is developed around students’ communicational needs and implemented through meaningful tasks. The paper concludes that both approaches establish a similar philosophical background from which distinctive methodological tools are developed. Thus, Freinetian adaptation into TBLT is plausible and highly beneficial for compulsory education. Generally, the adaptation enhances students’ motivation through TBLT’s techniques.
