[cat] El present treball aborda, en primer lloc, la temàtica de la navegació fluvial a través del riu Ebre, eix vertebrador de les comunicacions i vincle d’unió, tant cultural com material, entre els pobles i persones de la Corona d’Aragó durant l’època Baixmedieval. A la vegada s’analitza la gran contribució del riu en l’abastament del territori; la relació entre els diferents centres de producció; el rol dels mercaders; els impostos i la intervenció de les universitats, sobretot en temps de caresties, dedicant una especial atenció a les actuacions del Consell de Cent de la ciutat de Barcelona per garantir l’abastament de forment a la ciutat, entre elles la compra de la Baronia de Flix i La Palma.
[eng] The present paper addresses, the theme of river navigation through the Ebro River, the communications backbone and union link, as cultural and material, among the people of the Crown of Aragon during the Late Middle Age era. At the same time we study the importance of the river contribution to the territory supply and also the relationship between the different production centres, the role of merchants, the taxes and the authorities intervention, especially in times of caresses, paying special attention to the actions of the Consell de Cent de Barcelona to guarantee the supply of cereal to the city, including the Baronia de Flix I La Palma acquisitions.
