Abstract

The motivation of this work comes from the reading of the chapters: Com entendre el comportament no predictible dels sistemes deterministes (C. Simó); Caos espaciotemporal en ecosistemes (R.V. Solé) i Buscant l’ordre ocult dels sistemes biològics (J. Bascompte), of the book ”Order and Chaos in ecology”[1], devoted to explain how the knowledge of the phenomenon known as ”deterministic chaos” has made a qualitative change in the way scientists of this area look at the problems in ecology.
