[cat] “Una família xarnega del Prat” és un vídeo documental que explora el fenomen migratori produït durant els anys cinquanta, quan milers de persones d’Andalusia van desplaçar-se fins a Catalunya per a buscar una millor vida. El projecte se centra en la història familiar dels meus avis, tant els andalusos com els catalans. Mostrant a través del seu testimoni les dificultats, l’adaptació i la diversitat cultural que trobem al Prat de Llobregat. Més enllà del relat familiar, busco donar veu a una experiència col·lectiva que va marcar la història del municipi però també de moltes altres ciutats de l’àrea metropolitana de Barcelona. Amb una mirada propera i sentimental, aquest treball vol reivindicar la memòria d’aquella generació que ha construït el que coneixem avui com a Catalunya, convidant a la reflexió sobre les nostres arrels i a reconèixer la riquesa que ens aporta la diversitat cultural.
Utilitzo el cine amateur i experimental com a mètode per a representar de una manera més quotidiana i íntima, allunyant-me del relat informatiu i fred, per apropar-me a una narració que connecti amb l’espectador des de l’experiència personal i la memòria. El documental es construeix a partir d’escenes familiars actuals, converses, gestos, records que evoquen a una memòria compartida.
[eng] “Una família xarnega del Prat” is a documentary video that explores the migratory phenomenon produced during the fifties, when thousands of people from Andalusia moved to Catalonia to look for a better life. The project focuses on the family history of my grandparents, the Andalusians and the Catalans. Showing through his testimony the difficulties, adaptation, and cultural diversity that we find in El Prat de Llobregat. Beyond the family story, I seek to give voice to a collective experience that marked the history of the municipality but also of many other cities in the metropolitan area of Barcelona. With a close and sentimental look, this work aims to vindicate the memory of that generation that has built what we know today as Catalonia. Inviting reflection on our roots and recognizing the richness that cultural diversity brings us. I use amateur and experimental cinema as a method to represent on a daily basis and intimate way, moving away from the informative and cold story, to approach a narrative that connects with the viewer from personal experience and memory. The documentary is constructed from current family scenes, conversations, gestures, and memories that evoke a shared memory.
