Abstract
[eng]This article features the results of the first and second phase of the Tecnolonial project on the manufacturing centres of Barcelona, Seville and the Basque Country. The research of this project is based on the study of majolica pottery, one of the early icons of globalisation, as well as coarse glazed pottery and transport jars, which had a major role, the former as utilitarian pottery and the latter as containers suitable for overseas trade. The results of the archaeometric characterisation and its integration with the archaeological study of the three centres reveal great complexity in the three cases related to the use by potters of several techniques to produce the items based on the properties of the material used and their formal design.
