dc.description.abstractFollowing the translation of Ptolemy’s Geography into Latin in 1409 by Jacopo di Angelo da Scarperia, the work was copied on many occasions in manuscript format and in due course was printed in a profusion of editions, throughout Western Europe during the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.
