Validació estadística en les proves d’experiència d’usuari mitjançant contrasts d’hipòtesis

Abstract

[en] The main objective of this work is to bring statistical rigour to user experience testing, with the aim of validating the results and drawing conclusions based on quantitative evidence.

The first part presents the theoretical foundations of hypothesis testing and describes various statistical tests in detail, specifying the conditions under which each is applicable. In the second part, these concepts are applied to the field of user experience to assess whether the results obtained in real studies are statistically significant.

Throughout the study, several situations that researchers may encounter are explored, for instance, comparing two versions of the same product to determine which performs better. For each case, the appropriate test is identified, along with guidance on how to apply it and how to interpret the results.

[ca] Aquest treball té com a objectiu principal aportar la rigorositat de l’estadística als tests d’experiència d’usuari amb la finalitat de validar-ne els resultats i extreure conclusions amb fonament quantitatiu.

La primera part presenta els fonaments teòrics dels contrasts d’hipòtesis i descriu detalladament diversos tests estadístics, tot indicant les condicions sota els quals són aplicables. A la segona part, aquests coneixements s'apliquen a l’àmbit de l’experiència d’usuari, amb l’objectiu de determinar si els resultats obtinguts en estudis reals són estadísticament significatius.

Al llarg de la memòria es presentaran algunes de les situacions en què es pot trobar un investigador, com ara la comparació de dues versions d’un mateix producte per determinar si una és millor que l’altra. Per a cada cas, s’indica quin test s’ha de dur a terme, com aplicar-lo i com interpretar-ne els resultats
