Una nueva fusayola con inscripción ibérica procedente de Puig Ciutat (Oristà, Barcelona)

Abstract

Se publica una inscripción ibérica inédita sobre fusayola hallada entre los escombros de una habitación en el yacimiento de Puig Ciutat, cuyo final se fecha a mediados del siglo I a.E. El epígrafe plantea serios problemas de lectura por el desgaste del objeto, pero queda fuera de duda la presencia del término kaśtaun al comienzo del texto, palabra que se documenta en otras cuatro fusayolas ibéricas y que parece característica del léxico sobre este tipo de instrumenta. Se presenta también un esgrafiado unilítero sobre el pie de una copa de cerámica de barniz negro de Cales.

The paper offers an edition of an unpublished Iberian inscription on a spindle whorl, which was found among the debris of a room at the settlement of Puig Ciutat, whose end is dated to the mid-first century BCE. The reading of the inscription poses serious problems, because the object is highly worn, but there is no doubt about the presence of the term kaśtaun at the beginning of the text. This word is attested on four other Iberian spindle whorls and seems to be characteristic of the lexicon appearing on this type of instrumenta. The paper also presents a single-letter graffito on the foot of a Calenian black-glazed cup.
