Abstract

[cat] “Edificio 16 John Lennon” es un lugar donde (no) pasan cosas. Este proyecto nace de la curiosidad por los hogares, por aquello protegido y “privado”, y por la manera en que sus ocupantes habitamos el día a día. A través de la creación y construcción de diferentes habitáculos con sus residentes y sus historias (mundos-habitación), la intención es crear una escena caricaturesca que dé pie a la interacción y al juego, a descubrir esos personajes y a elucubrar sobre sus vidas. Este proyecto muestra una visión satírica de la privatización del espacio social, del individualismo que nos recluye en parcelas de un edificio sin contacto con el exterior y de la casa como refugio de la célula familiar. Se pretende generar este espacio mediante la utilización de obras tangibles, surgidas de disciplinas artísticas como la pintura y la escultura porque me interesa su fisicidad como parte integrante de la realidad corpórea que envuelve al espectador.

[eng] 'Building 16 John Lennon’ is a building where ‘something and nothing’ happens. This project was born out of curiosity about homes, for that things protected and privated, and about the ways in which their occupants inhabit their daily lives. Through the creation and construction of different living spaces with their residents and their stories (worlds-room), the intention is to create an absurd scene that gives rise to interaction and play, to discover these characters and to imagine about their lives. This project shows a satirical view of the privatisation of social space, of the individualism that locks us up in building plots without any contact with the exterior and of the house as a refuge of the family ‘cell’. I intend to generate this space by the use of physical works of art arising from artistic disciplines such as painting and sculpture because I’m interested in their nature as an integral link to the corporeal reality that surrounds the spectator.
