[cat] La participació dels naturals del Principat de Catalunya a la conquesta i colonització d’Amèrica ha estat una qüestió estudiada i interpretada des de diferents òptiques historiogràfiques. En el present estat de la qüestió s’analitzarà la historiografia que ens descriu la presència catalana en un territori concret del Nou Món: la desembocadura de l’Orinoco.
[eng] The participation of the natives of the Principality of Catalonia in the conquest and colonization of America has been a matter studied and interpreted from different historiographic perspectives. In the present state of the investigation, we will analyse the historiography that tells us about the Catalan presence in a specific territory of the New World: the mouth of the Orinoco River.
