Els romans i el déu invicte: consideracions i característiques del culte a Mitra a l’Occident romà

[cat] Tradicionalment, el coneixement de la influència de les religions mistèriques en el dia a dia dels habitants de la República i l’Imperi romà, ha experimentat un enfocament reduccionista que ha limitat la importància d’aquests cultes a meres creences anecdòtiques i les ha situat en el sí de comunitats homogènies socialment. L’estudi en profunditat del culte als misteris de Mitra, una d’aquestes religions mistèriques, ens permet aproximar-nos als orígens, significat i composició social del mateix, establint d’aquesta manera un patró comú de les comunitats mitraiques a l’Occident romà

[eng] Traditionally, the knowledge about the influence of mystery religions in the daily life of inhabitants from Republican and Imperial Rome has been treated from a relativist focus which has limited the importance of those beliefs to an anecdotic role within social homogenous communities. A deep study on Mithra’s mysteries, one of these religions, gives us the opportunity of approaching towards the origins, meaning, and social composition of the cult; establishing a common standard of Mithraic communities in Western roman world.
