Masculinitats en tensió al gol nord del Sant Andreu

Abstract

[cat]Aquest treball analitza els processos de construcció de les masculinitats dins l’àmbit del futbol semi-professional, prenent com a cas d’estudi el club U.E. Sant Andreu, a Barcelona, conegut pel seu compromís polític i social. L’objectiu principal és entendre com es reprodueix, resisteix o transforma la masculinitat hegemònica dins d’un espai tradicionalment masculinitzat, mitjançant l’anàlisi etnogràfic de les pràctiques, discursos i relacions entre els membres del club. La hipòtesi de partida sosté que, malgrat la identitat polititzada i progressista del club, el camp de futbol continua sent un escenari de reproducció de normes patriarcals, si bé amb escletxes que permeten imaginar formes alternatives de masculinitat. A través d’entrevistes, observació participant i l’anàlisi de l’imaginari col·lectiu que envolta el club, es mostren les tensions entre discurs i pràctica, i com aquestes configuren una masculinitat en disputa

[eng]This research analyzes the construction of masculinities within the realm of amateur football, focusing on the U.E. Sant Andreu club, which is known for its political and social engagement. The main objective is to understand how hegemonic masculinity is reproduced, resisted, or transformed in a traditionally masculinized space, through an ethnographic analysis of practices, discourses, and relationships among club members. The initial hypothesis believes that, despite the club’s leftistand politicized identity, the football field remains a setting where patriarchal norms are largely reproduced, although cracks in this structure reveal the potential for alternative masculinity expressions. Drawing on interviews, participant observation, and the analysis of the club’s collective imaginary, the study highlights tensions between discourse and practice, and how these shape a contested form of masculinity.
