MASCC at a glance: congress and events in Wien

Abstract

If you could not have attended the last meeting of the Multinational Association of Supportive Care in Cancer and the International Society of Oral Oncology, we are going to tell you about the successful event of MASCC/ISOO 2018 Annual Meeting which was held in Vienna, Austria, |during June 28-30, 2018. The event hosted more than 1200 participants from 61 different countries. Attendees are a great variety of professionals; you could have met dentists, pharmacists, cancer nurses, oncologists, internal medicine doctors, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, and even some biomedical engineering that found some place themselves on the stimulating and enriching program with 52 sessions! On day 27, previous to the event start, there were several meetings of the Study Group leaders and the also the Executive Board of MASCC. On this occasion, we discussed about strategies and plans for the next 2 years regarding the society and members. Day 28th was a very busy day with the following activities and scientific panels that started early in the morning at 8:00 a.m. and finished at 11:15 a.m.
