[cat] El present treball és un estat de la qüestió sobre com el Consell d’Escola Nova
Unificada (CENU), un organisme nascut al redós de la revolució de Catalunya el 1936, va
cobrir el dret a l’educació primària reconegut a la Constitució republicana de 1931. El CENU,
com a organisme revolucionari, va construir una renovadora proposta que es plantejava
com una alternativa a l’educació tradicional.
En aquest estat de la qüestió es ressegueixen les qüestions més abordades per la
historiografia, com ho són l’ideari o les mesures, entre les quals trobem l’escolarització,
l’adequació d’edificis, la constitució del cos de mestres o el Pla General d’Ensenyament.
L’objectiu és trobar els acords, les dissensions i els buits bibliogràfics de la literatura escrita
sobre el CENU.
Les fonts historiogràfiques disponibles més influents van ser publicades en el període de la
Transició Democràtica, les quals es mostren modalitzades en favor del CENU.
Posteriorment, no s’ha fet cap revisió d’aquesta literatura, sinó que s’han reproduït les
dades i interpretacions. En aquest sentit, s’identifica una manca de treballs monogràfics que
resolguin les dissensions, estudiïn qüestions inexplorades i superin la visió del CENU
projectada durant la Transició Democràtica.
[eng] The present work is a state of the issue on how the Consell d'Escola Nova Unificada (CENU), an agency born at the core of the revolution of 1936, tried to guarantee the right to primary education recognized in 1931's Constitution. CENU, a revolutionary agency, built an innovative proposal that was an alternative to traditional education. This state of the issue starts with a context that frames the work of CENU. Then, the most addressed questions by historiography are reviewed, such as its ideology or measures, among which we find schooling, the adaptation of buildings, the foundation of the teachers workforce or the design of Pla General d’Ensenyament. The point is to find agreements and dissensions about all these issues. The most influential historiographical sources about CENU were published during the period of the Democratic Transition. These sources were clearly in favor of the CENU. Subsequently, there has been no revision of these studies, so the data and interpretations of 80s studies have been reproduced in later works. In this sense, there is a lack of monographic works that settle disagreements, study unexplored issues and overcome the vision of the CENU projected during the Democratic Transition.
