Páthos i estètica ascètica en l’obra de Nikos Kazantzakis

Abstract

[cat] Aquest treball aborda les obres Ascesi i Alexis Zorbás de Nikos Kazantzakis des de diferents angles per a poder observar com s’estructura el pensament de l’autor sobretot en relació als components d’espiritualitat, intel·lectualitat i el paper que hi juga el procés creatiu artístic. La lectura es construeix entorn del valor de l’estètica com un element no únicament artístic sinó sobre la idea d’una estètica vital que vincularia l’obra literària amb l’esquema de la lluita existencial que planteja Kazantzakis. La lectura de l’Ascesi para atenció a la representació de l’estructura que envolta la divinitat i el camí ascètic que el text planteja. Amb l’Alexis Zorbàs, la lectura se centra el valor de páthos i la vida apassionada així com en el valor del text literari, tant pel contingut representat com pel seu valor simbòlic.

[eng] The aim of this work is to approach the novels Ascesi and Alexis Zorbas by the Greek author Nikos Kazantzakis from different angles. The interest of these two works is to observe the thought of the author, in its relation to spirituality and intellectual elements and the role played by the creative process. This reading is maintained by the value of aesthetics which is seen as an element of life instead of just in an artistic sense. This aesthetic feeling is central to linking the literary work to Kazantzaki's existential thought. Reading Ascesi (Ασκιτική) focuses its attention on the representation of structures built around god and his initial path. The reading of Alexis Zorbas has an emphasis on the role that páthos – the passionate life – plays in the value of the literary work through its represented content and the symbolic value of the work.
