Abstract
[spa] En el artículo se examina el contenido de seis obras de introducción a la lingüística de Jesús Tuson i Valls (Valencia, 1939-Barcelona, 2017). Son obras que en algunos casos se titulan 'introducción a la lingüística', en otros 'introducción al estudio del lenguaje'. Las publicaciones cubren un período de un cuarto de siglo, pues aparecieron en 1980, 1984, 1994a, 1994b, 1999, 2011. Se caracterizan por la concisión y un acierto didáctico sin parangón entre las de su género. Están escritas en catalán, salvo las dos primeras, de 1980 y 1984. Y asumen una orientación sincrética que concilia elementos estructuralistas, generativistas y sociolingüísticos. Con ellas constituye un canon de la lingüística, que promueve con acierto y variedad expositiva en tres períodos. Son los períodos de manuales introductorios (1980, 1984), ensayos breves (1994a, 1994b) y ensayos extensos (1999, 2011).
[eng] The paper examines the content of six works of introduction to the linguistics by Jesus Tuson i Valls (Valencia, 1939-Barcelona, 2017). They are works that in some cases are entitled 'introduction to linguistics', in others 'introduction to the study of language'. The publications cover a period of a quarter of a century, since they appeared in 1980, 1984, 1994a, 1994b, 1999, 2011. They are characterized by conciseness and a didactic success unparalleled among those of their genre. They are written in Catalan, except for the first two, from 1980 and 1984. And they assume a syncretic orientation that reconciles structuralist, generativist and sociolinguistic elements. With them, it constitutes a canon of linguistics, which successfully promotes and exhibits in three periods. These are the periods of introductory manuals (1980, 1984), short essays (1994a, 1994b) and extended essays (1999, 2011).
