El juicio verbal representa una de las piedras angulares de nuestro sistema procesal,
abarcando un gran (y creciente) número de materias. Conscientes de ello, este estudio se
centra en una de las etapas de este procedimiento (la vista) y las modificaciones que el Proyecto de
Ley de Medidas de Eficiencia Procesal del Servicio Público de Justicia ha previsto sobre su regulación
actual. Merece destacarse el hecho de que se pretenda potenciar, de forma más que evidente y
reiterada, la derivación de las controversias a las vías alternativas de resolución de conflictos, como
la mediación, en un intento por flexibilizar el proceso y buscar la mejor vía para alcanzar una
solución a la controversia.
The summary trial is one of our procedural system basis, covering a large (and growing) number of subjects. Once we know it, this study focuses on one of its stages (the trial hearing) and the modifications that the Procedural Efficiency Measures of the Public Service of Justice Bill has foreseen on the law in force. We also highlight the fact that this new bill is trying to send some cases to alternative dispute resolutions, such as mediation, to make a more flexible trial and seek the best way to achieve a solution to different disputes.
