« Il faut que l’oblitération chante » El cant com a resposta estètico-ètica en el pensament d’Emmanuel Lévinas

Abstract

[cat] Aquest treball té com a objectiu estudiar la noció de cant en el pensament estètic d’Emmanuel Lévinas. A través de la lectura d’aquells textos, publicats entre 1947 i 1990, que el pensador lituà va dedicar a la qüestió de la creació artística, es vol deduir si el cant esdevé una resposta privilegiada enfront del dolor per la seva capacitat expressiva de fer conscient la finitud i la vulnerabilitat humana. Més concretament, l’objectiu d’aquest treball és desxifrar l’afirmació “Il faut que l’oblitération chante” que Lévinas va sentenciar a propòsit de l’art de l’obliteració. També classificar els escrits dedicats a l’estètica i determinar el valor d’aquests com un complement per la comprensió de la seva proposta ètica.

[eng] The aim of this study is to examine the concept of singing in the aesthetic thought of Emmanuel Lévinas. By reading the Lithuanian philosopher's writings on artistic creation published between 1947 and 1990, the purpose is to determine whether singing is a privileged response to pain, as it has the potential to make visible human finitude and vulnerability through its expressiveness. More specifically, the object of this study is to clarify the meaning of "Il faut que l'oblitération chante", a phrase expressed by Lévinas in relation to the art of obliteration. Finally, to classify the writings on aesthetics and determine whether they are complementary to the understanding of his ethical proposal.
