[cat] Aquest article analitza les relacions entre la pragmàtica i la normativització, amb especial referència al cas de la llengua catalana. Malgrat que la pragmàtica se sol considerar un terreny on les normes tenen el sentit només de guies estilístiques o regles de control (més aviat laxes), la gramàtica prescriptiva no se'n pot desentendre, altrament la prescripció resultarà absurda o inadequada.

Although pragmatics is usually envisaged as a field in which rules must be understood only as stylistic guidelines or (rather loose) principles of control, prescriptive grammars cannot ignore pragmatic con siderations, otherwise lingüistic prescription would be absurd or inappropriate.
