Abstract
[ca] A partir del contacte amb un arxivador ple de correspondència familiar sorgeix l’impuls d’indagar en el passat. Intento reconstruir el relat d’un desplaçament, el d’una família que es va traslladar d’Anglaterra a Palma fa trenta anys. Mentre emprendo una travessa pels secrets de la família, busco el reconeixement en els documents que han quedat enrere. L’exploració s’endinsa encara més en la memòria. Provo d’explotar les possibilitats del record —i de l’oblit.
[eng] From coming into contact with a file cabinet filled with letters from family emerges the impulse to inquire into the past. I try to reconstruct a story of displacement, that of a family who moved from England to Palma thirty years ago. As I embark on a journey through family secrets, I search for recognition in the documents that have been left behind. The exploration goes further into remembrance. I attempt to mine memory —and forget— for its possibilities.
