[cat] Aquest projecte explora les possibilitats de l'ús d'olis essencials com a alternativa verda en enfront dels biocides tradicionals utilitzats en el camp de conservació-restauració. En primer lloc, es descriurà amb detall que és un oli essencial i les seves propietats biològiques com a biocides. En segon lloc, es troba una revisió bibliogràfica on es recullen molts dels estudis que s'han realitzat amb l'objectiu d'investigar les aplicacions dels olis essencials en l'àmbit de la conservació-restauració. Per últim, es pot consultar la documentació d'unes proves realitzades amb l'objectiu de saber si l'oli essencial de farigola deixa residus sobre el paper.
[eng] This project explores the possibilities of using essential oils as a green alternative to traditional biocides used in the field of conservation-restoration. First, it will be described in detail what is an essential oil and its biological properties as biocides. Secondly, a bibliographic review can be found which includes many of the studies that have been carried out to investigate the applications of essential oils in the field of conservation-restoration. Finally, you can consult the documentation of some tests carried out in order to know if the essential oil of thyme leaves residue on the paper.
