[spa] Nos encontramos en la época de la conmemoración, en un presente histórico cuya relación con el pasado ha replanteado grandes debates en torno a su memorialización y con la necesidad de encontrar nuevos espacios de posibilidad que den cabida a formas y prácticas artísticas donde dar visibilidad a las voces silenciadas por los discursos hegemónicos de poder. Si el arte debe hacerse cargo de una memoria anulada por la Historia oficial, se han de habilitar nuevas formas de archivos para dar voz a lo que ha permanecido oculto. La metáfora animal Maus de Art Spiegelman ilustra los debates teóricos y filosóficos sobre la supuesta irrepresentabilidad del Holocausto y, desde la teoría de la posmemoria, nos ofrece la posibilidad de trascender la memoria del testigo hacia una memoria colectiva y cultural que posibilita la necesaria representación del trauma.
[eng] We are facing times of commemoration; we live in historical present whose bonds to the past has brought back important debates around its memorialization. There is a need to find new ways and possibilities of embracing forms and artistic expressions that give light to voiced that have been silenced by hegemonic discourses of power. If art must represent what has been concealed by the Official history, one has to enable new ways of archiving in order to give voice to the hidden. The animal metaphor in Maus by Art Spiegelman embodies theoretical and philosophical debates on the supposed unrepresentability of the Holocaust and from the postmemory theory it offers the possibility of transcending the witness memory to a collective an cultural memory that enables the demanded representation of the trauma.
