[cat] L'article planteja la viabilitat d'una vegueria integrada per les comarques d'Osona i el Ripollès en el marc del nou ordenament territorial de Catalunya. Aquest plantejament es porta a terme a partir d'una consideració dels antecedents històrics en la divisió de Catalunya i d'una anàlisi funcional del territori, considerant aspectes com les àrees comercials i el mapa sanitari, entre d'altres.
[eng] From 1892 the figure and work of Jaume Balmes was subject to a process of Catalanisation. In particular, one of his most emblematic works, El criterio, would become the most authentic expression of Catalan psychology. This article explains how this process of Catalanisation occurred, which was due essentially to the Bishop of Vic, Josep Torras i Bages, and to the Canon of the same see, Jaume Collell.
