[cat] La present tesi doctoral constitueix un estudi sobre la vida i l’obra de la mallorquina Elisabet Cifre, qui visqué a la Ciutat de Mallorca entre els anys 1467 i 1542. Elisabet Cifre fou beguina, sanadora, mística, profeta, mestra i fundadora de la Casa de la Criança, l’escola per a nenes més important de l’illa de Mallorca durant l’Època Moderna. Aquesta recerca ofereix la primera transcripció íntegra de les confessions d’Elisabet Cifre i suposa un estudi pioner de la seva espiritualitat i de les seves experiències místiques i profètiques. La vida d’aquesta beguina així com els seves relacions polítiques s’emmarquen en el context de la Querella de les Dones a Mallorca, un fenomen que no havia estat estudiat encara en territori mallorquí.
[eng] This doctoral thesis is a study of the life and work of the Mallorcan Elisabet Cifre, who lived in the City of Mallorca between 1467 and 1542. Elisabet Cifre was a beguine, healer, mystic, prophet, teacher and founder of the Casa de la Criança, the most important school for girls on the island of Mallorca during the Modern Era. This study provides the first complete transcription of her confessions, the most relevant source for understanding the mystique of this beguine. The context in which Elisabeth Cifre's political relations are framed is The Women Question, a phenomenon that has not yet been studied in the Mallorcan territory.
