[spa] El presente trabajo es un estado de la cuestión sobre la cárcel Modelo de Barcelona, sede central y corazón penitenciario de la ciudad condal durante la dictadura. Tras conocer los mecanismos de represión que adoptó el régimen franquista entre 1939 y 1945 referenciados en el sistema penitenciario, el trabajo profundiza en la relación entre el poder dominante y sus cautivos a través de las experiencias de los reclusos en prisión. A la luz de este análisis encontramos la capacidad de los presos para desarrollar mecanismos de resistencia frente a la represión que ejercía contra ellos la dictadura.
[eng] The present work is a literature review about the prison Modelo in Barcelona’s headquarters, which was the penitentiary heart of the city during the dictatorship. After knowing the mechanisms of repression that Franco´s regime adopted between 1939 and 1945 referred by the penitentiary system, the work deepens in the relationship between the dominant power and its captives through experiences of prison inmates. In light of this analysis, we find that prisoners have the capability to develop mechanisms of resistance against the repression that dictatorship imposed against them.
