Xarxa de germanes en la discapacitat

Abstract

[cat] Aquest treball de fi de grau analitza la realitat invisibilitzada de les germanes de persones amb discapacitat, partint d’una vivència personal per abordar-la des d’una perspectiva educativa, social i feminista. L’objectiu principal és identificar les necessitats específiques d’aquest col·lectiu i promoure’n l’empoderament mitjançant la creació d’espais de suport i autoorganització. Es justifica per la manca de representació d’aquestes germanes en les entitats dedicades a la discapacitat i per la feminització estructural de les cures, fet que genera desigualtats socials i emocionals. El marc teòric aborda el rol de l’educadora social, les dinàmiques familiars, les repercussions emocionals i la invisibilització que pateixen les germanes, així com la perspectiva interseccional de les cures. El marc contextual se centra en Catalunya, destacant la necessitat urgent d’un espai específic per aquest col·lectiu. Metodològicament, es realitza una enquesta a germanes que confirma les tendències teòriques i identifica demandes clau: suport emocional, informació i reconeixement. A partir dels resultats, es proposa la creació d’una entitat anomenada “Xarxa de Germanes en la Discapacitat”, amb estructura pròpia, estratègies d’actuació, i una brúixola ètica. Finalment, les conclusions posen de relleu la resiliència com a força col·lectiva i el paper clau de les germanes en l’àmbit de les cures, amb la necessitat urgent de fer visible la seva realitat i garantir-ne els drets.

[eng] This undergraduate thesis analyzes the often invisible reality of sisters of people with disabilities, using a personal experience as a starting point and addressing it from an educational, social, and feminist perspective. The main objective is to identify the specific needs of this group and promote their empowerment through the creation of support and self-organized spaces. The justification lies in the lack of representation of these sisters in organizations related to disability and in the structural feminization of caregiving, which generates social and emotional inequalities. The theoretical framework addresses the role of the social educator, family dynamics, emotional consequences, and the invisibility experienced by sisters, as well as the intersectional perspective of caregiving. The contextual framework focuses on Catalonia, highlighting the urgent need for a dedicated space for this group. Methodologically, a survey was conducted among sisters, confirming theoretical trends and identifying key demands: emotional support, access to information, and recognition. Based on the results, the creation of an organization called “Xarxa de Germanes en la Discapacitat” is proposed, with its own structure, strategic lines of action, and an ethical compass. Finally, the conclusions highlight resilience as a collective force and emphasize the key role that sisters play in the field of care, underlining the urgent need to make their reality visible and to guarantee their rights.
