Soledad en un mundo hiperconectado: La cultura del streaming

Abstract

[spa] En este trabajo me acerco desde lo artístico y sociológico al fenómeno que lleva a la individualización y distanciamiento social. ¿Cómo es posible que en un mundo hiperconectado, donde las fronteras de lo físico se han visto poco a poco desdibujadas, la sensación de soledad haya ido aumentando? Identificando la cada vez mayor virtualización de las relaciones sociales y la imagen en directo, se intentará entender y reflexionar sobre lo que está ocurriendo: cómo la virtualización de muchos aspectos de nuestro día a día se vuelve en la normalización y reconfiguran las maneras de relacionarnos. A través de “Twitching” reflexiono sobre la pérdida del contacto visual como conector físico irremplazable que se da en la plataforma de Twitch.

[eng] In this investigation I make an artistic and sociological approach to the same phenomenon that leads to individualization and social distancing. How is it possible that in a hyperconnected world, where the boundaries of the physical have been gradually blurred, the feeling of loneliness has been increasing? Identifying the increasing virtualization of social relations and the live image, we will try to understand and reflect on what is happening: how the virtualization of many aspects of our daily lives becomes normalization and reconfigures the ways of relating to each other. Through “Twitching” I reflect on the loss of visual contact as an irreplaceable physical connector that occurs on the Twitch platform.
