Imperium sine fine. La Eneida y la construcción de la ideología augústea

Abstract

[spa] El presente trabajo trata las relaciones e influencias entre la Eneida, poema épico de Virgilio, y la construcción de la ideología augústea durante el denominado Siglo de Augusto. Mediante el análisis de los cantos que conforman la obra, se analiza la creación y el enaltecimiento del mito nacional romano en torno a la figura mítica de Eneas, que, guiado por el fatum, debía fundar la ciudad de Roma y la gens Iulia que en el futuro lideraria un imperium sine fine.

[eng] This paper deals with the relationships and influences between the Aeneid, Virgil's epic poem, and the construction of the Augustan ideology during the so-called Age of Augustus. Throughout the analysis of the books that shape the poem, the creation and enhancement of the Roman national myth is analyzed through the mythical figure of Aeneas, who, guided by the fatum, was to found the city of Rome and the gens Iulia that in the future, would lead an imperium sine fine.
