Abstract
[spa] El presente trabajo reflexiona sobre el uso de la imagen visual para representar la tragedia. Partiendo de la consciencia de que el drama ajeno es irrepresentable, hace un recorrido que va desde el periodismo a las prácticas artísticas, mientras propone un uso ético y responsable de las imágenes.
Incluye la descripción de los proyectos artísticos, que bajo el título conjunto Un acto de barbarie, tratan de encontrar vías de expresión artística que dignifiquen a los supervivientes desde la responsabilidad y la ética pero sin renunciar a lo poético.
[eng] The present work reflects on use of visual image to represent tragedy. Starting from the awareness that other’s drama is unrepresentable, it goes from journalism to artistic practices, while proposing an ethical and responsible use of images. It includes a description of the artistic projects that under the global title An act of barbarism try to find artistic expression ways that dignify survivors from responsibility and ethics but without renouncing a poetic expression.
