Manifestaciones culturales e identidad en el Caribe colombiano: estudio de caso Carnaval y artesanía

[spa] Este documento estudia diversas manifestaciones culturales del Caribe colombiano, como el Carnaval de Barranquilla y las técnicas artesanales de los departamentos del Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, Córdoba, Magdalena, Sucre y la Guajira, con el fin de abstraer elementos clave en la configuración del imaginario de la identidad cultural de la región. El Caribe colombiano posibilita la afirmación de los individuos que componen su sociedad, valorando las expresiones particulares. A su vez, dichas individualidades contribuyen a la construcción de comunidad. De esta manera, poblaciones tan diversas como las que habitan en esta región, se complementan y crean una manera de vivir común. Se trata de la identidad costeña. Las manifestaciones culturales estudiadas se han convertido en propiedad social y presentan diferentes lenguajes, comportamientos y conocimientos que configuran los valores y promueven los procesos de identificación social específicos de esta región

[eng] This document explores a variety of cultural events in the Colombian Caribbean like Carnival of Barranquilla and craft techniques of the departments of Atlántico, Bolívar, Cesar, Córdoba, Magdalena, Sucre and La Guajira in order to abstract key elements that configure the imaginary of the cultural identity of the region. Colombian Caribbean allows the affirmation of individuals that compose their society, valuing the particular expressions. At the same time these individuals contribute to the community building. In this way, locations as diverse as those found in this region are complemented, creating a way of living together.
