Los memes de Internet como herramientas didácticas: propuesta de actividades para el ámbito de lenguas en la etapa de secundaria

El concepto de meme y los memes de Internet tienen un recorrido suficiente como para ser tomados en cuenta desde la institución educativa. En este trabajo se realiza una panorámica de la evolución del concepto amplio de meme y de su subgénero, el meme de Internet, para señalar el uso que se está haciendo de él como herramienta de participación política y arma ideológica; y elaborar una propuesta didáctica para el uso de estas píldoras culturales en las aulas, en especial en el ámbito de lenguas, para elaborar actividades que deben formar parte de secuencias didácticas más amplias. A partir de la exploración del panorama memético en el ámbito académico y en las redes sociales, se proponen actividades para el aprendizaje de las distintas dimensiones de la lengua a partir de los memes de Internet. Además, se ofrece una selección de memes que pueden ser usados, o simplemente, tomados como ejemplo para la puesta en práctica de esas actividades.
Both concepts of meme and Internet meme have a history and academic background large enough to be noticed by the education institutions, and to be introduced in secondary schools curricula. This paper provides an overview of the evolution of the concept of meme and its sub-genre, the Internet meme, to point out the use that is being made of it as a tool for political participation and as an ideological weapon; and to elaborate a didactic proposal for the use of these cultural pills in the classroom, especially in the field of languages, to develop activities that should be part of larger didactic sequences. Based on the exploration of the memetic landscape in the academic field and social networks, several activities to learn the various dimensions of language by reading and generating Internet memes are proposed in this paper. In addition, a selection of memes that can be used or solely taken as examples for the implementation of these activities has been included in the annexes of this paper.
