[cat] En aquest treball es pretén analitzar com ha variat el tractament historiogràfic sobre la
figura d’Ermessenda de Carcassona (975/976 – 1058), comtessa de Barcelona que heretà
els comtats de Barcelona, Girona i Osona en violari del seu marit Ramon Borrell per a
governar-los en condomini. Al llarg de la seva vida, Ermessenda cogovernà tant amb el
seu marit com el seu fill i net. Tot això ha fet que la seva figura hagi estat objecte de
diverses interpretacions en el marc de la historiografia catalana, l’evolució de les quals
pretenem abordar en aquest treball.
[eng] The main goal of this study is to analyze the historiographical changing perceptions regarding the historical figure of Ermesinde of Carcassone (975/976 – 1058), a Countess of Barcelona that inherited from his husband Ramon Borrell the Counties of Barcelona, Girona and Osona to rule over them in condominium for life. During her life, Ermesinde co-ruled with her husband as well as her son and grandson. This fact made her historical figure the object of several interpretations in the Catalan historiography. We will address these visions in the present work.
