L'evolució de les doctrines en la Historia de la Filosofía de Jaume Balmes

[cat] L'article mostra la importància del capítol sobre la història de la filosofia en la Filosofia elemental de Balmes. S'analitza el tractament que fa Balmes de les doctrines d'origen oriental (emanantisme, panteisme i atomisme), i la importància que dóna a Ciceró i les doctrines errònies en el món grec (ateisme, sensualisme, materialisme, idealisme, escepticisme, hedonisme i eclecticisme). Balmes posa molt d'interès en l'estudi de la filosofia cristiana i medieval; destaca el treball sobre Sant Tomàs i dels moderns Descartes i Leibniz. Finalment s'entra en la problemàtica del «progrés» en la història.

[eng] The article shows the importance of the chapter about the history of philosophy in the Elemental Philosophy by Balmes. It analyses the way in which Balmes deals with the doctrines of oriental origin (immanentism, pantheism and atomism), and the importance he gives to Cicero and the mistaken doctrines in the Greek world (atheism, sensualism, materialism, idealism, scepticism, hedonism and eclecticism). Balmes shows great interest in the study of Christian and medieval philosophy; he highlights the work on Saint Thomas and of the modern Descartes and Leibniz. Finally he enters into the problem of "progress" in history.
