[spa] Este artículo explora los significados y posibilidades de la inmovilidad descubiertos por la imposición de una movilidad forzada durante la pandemia en personas con “vidas móviles”: nómadas digitales y guías acompañantes de turismo. A través de diez entrevistas etnográficas y una perspectiva antropológica existencial, se plantea si es posible sentirse inmóvil en una situación de movilidad continua o, por el contrario, experimentar una sensación de movilidad en un escenario marcado por la inmovilidad forzada. Los hallazgos destacan cómo las vidas móviles también producen alienación. Asimismo, constatan cómo la interpretación de la inmovilidad como un bloqueo o como una condición de posibilidad depende de la capacidad de la imaginación individual para generar nuevas perspectivas y horizontes de significado.
[eng] This article explores the meanings and potentialities of immobility amid the constraints of restricted mobility imposed by the pandemic, particularly among individuals leading "mobile lives," such as digital nomads and traveling tour guides. Through ten ethnographic interviews and an existential anthropology approach, the study asks whether it is possible to feel immobile in a situation of ongoing mobility or, conversely, experiencing a sense of mobility within a scenario marked by enforced immobility. The findings highlight how mobile lives also produce alienation. At the same time, they reveal how the interpretation of immobility as a blockage or as a condition of possibility hinges upon the individual's capacity of the imagination to generate new horizons of meaning.
