El objeto de la metafísica

[spa] En este trabajo se investiga el objeto de la metafísica. A tal efecto, se estudia el argumento que desarrolla Avicena en la Metafísica de la Curación. La distinción entre el objeto y el objetivo de una ciencia permite entender por qué Dios no es el objeto de la metafísica. Se arguye que el objeto de la metafísica es el existente en cuanto existente y que el objetivo es Dios, como causa explicativa última del objeto de la ciencia. Así, se muestra, desde Avicena, que la metafísica clásica no reduce la ontología a la teología.

[eng] In this paper it is investigated the object of metaphysics. To that end, it is studied the reasoning of Avicenna in the Metaphysics of the Healing. The distinction between the object and the goal of a science allows to understand why God is not the object of metaphysics. It is argued that the object of metaphysics is the existent inasmuch as it is an existent and the goal is God, as ultimate explanatory cause of the object of the science. Thus, it is shown, from Avicenna, that classical metaphysics does not reduce ontology to theology.
