Estudi de l’aixovar de la tomba quatre de Fyrkat, Jutlàndia (segle X)

Abstract

[cat] Amb aquest estudi es proposa un apropament al món funerari escandinau a través de l’estudi de l’aixovar d’una rica i peculiar inhumació femenina, datada de l’any 980 dC dins la necròpolis de la fortalesa-poblat de Fyrkat, de la regió de Jutlàndia (Dinamarca). Amb aquest treball s’intentarà establir possibles correlacions del conjunt material de la tomba amb el comportament social de la inhumada, a partir d’una anàlisi científica del caràcter simbòlic de les restes arqueològiques, per tal de comprendre simultàniament, la coexistència del paganisme i el cristianisme en un moment de profunds canvis socioculturals dins les comunitats humanes que habitaren aquesta zona danesa durant el segle X.

[eng] This paper approaches the Scandinavian funerary world through the study of the belongings of a rich and peculiar female burial, dating from 980 AD in the necropolis of the fortress-village of Fyrkat, the region of Jutland (Denmark). This work and establish possible correlations between the tomb’s material set and the social behavior of the buried woman within. We will explore the symbolic character of the archaeological remains from a scientific standpoint and analysis, in order to simultaneously understand the coexistence of paganism and Christianism at a time of deep sociocultural change within the human communities that inhabited this danish area during the 10th century.
