Abstract
This project considers whether the industry for board games has place for new market entries. With global revenues set to increase from $13.1 billion in 2023 to $26.04 billion in 2030, the industry offers good forecasts, thanks to the upcoming trends and technologies like board game cafés. By the Blue Ocean theory, the research will attempt to identify unexploited spaces where new entrants can create demand aside of traditional competition. The research includes historical context, market trends, and competitive forces analysis with global perspective and a case study of the Spanish market. Despite some data limitations have been encountered, the research refers to statistical research and company information. The expected result is to confirm that innovation in some areas can unlock new possibilities, therefore making the board game market a profitable sector for investment and growth.
