The Finite Element Method (FEM) is a numerical tool to approach the solution of Partial Differential Equations. We study this method from plenty points of view: the theoretical base, a possible implementation and the usage in some examples. We also try to show the versatility of the method and the advantages throw other methods. To develop the study of the examples I have programmed the method in C-language
