Abstract

[cat] La nostra quotidianitat es troba constantment marcada per la llum, les seves aplicacions i els seus significats. L’ús i control de la llum configura la nostra realitat sense ser conscients. Aquest projecte reflexiona sobre la dimensió del que podem observar, l’espai que ocupa, la plasticitat de la realitat i la subjectivitat de la mirada. Una imatge i una llum concreta pot quedar emmarcada en un suport i ésser conservada durant un temps. Però també pot quedar només en una realitat temporal, esdevenint una imatge no enregistrada i conservada només en la nostra memòria. Així doncs, mitjançant la llum podem evocar sensacions relacionades amb el pas del temps, la memòria i la imatge com matèria i espai dúctil. Només les impressions i experiències ens acosten i ens permeten sentir, per instants, la fascinació pròpia d’allò desconegut, l’atracció cap al que sabem que forma part d’un pla (el de la llum, la memòria, la imatge, el record, el passat, el pas del temps, etc.) al qual mai podem accedir completament.

[eng] Our daily life is constantly conditioned by light and its applications and meanings. Using and controlling light defines our reallity in an inconscient way. This project analyze the dimension of everything we can observe, its space, the plasticity of reallity and the subjectivity of gaze. An image and light can get registered in a material support and be conserved for a time. But also can be only a temporal reallity becoming a non registered image and remaining only in our memory. By the use of light we can refer to sensations of time going by, memory and images as a ductile space. Only experiences and impressions get us closer to the fascination about the unknown and everything that is part of a reallity (the one of light, memory, images, the past and time) which we will never be able to know properly.
