En torno al neogoticismo: la identidad regia astur entre los siglos VIII i X

Abstract

[spa] Este trabajo consiste en un estado de la cuestión alrededor de la historia política del reino astur (s. VIII-X) y la identidad regia de este. Recorreremos los diferentes monarcas desde Pelayo hasta Alfonso III para identificar los elementos neogoticistas – o no – de sus reinos, tanto en la configuración identitaria como ideológica de la política. Abordaremos estas páginas desde una perspectiva desmitificadora gracias a las teorías e hipótesis de la nueva oleada de historiadores revisionistas de las crónicas alfonsinas.

[eng] This project consists of a status of the issue around the political history of the Asturian kingdom (8th-10th centuries) and its royal identity. We will go through the different monarchs from Pelayo to Alfonso III to identify the neo-Gothic elements –or not– of their kingdoms both in the identity configuration and political ideology. We will approach these pages from a demystifying perspective thanks to the theories and hypotheses of the new wave of revisionist historians of the Alfonsine chronicles.
