Abstract
Considerations on the biographies of holy women compiled by Brother Mark of Lisbon in his "Crónicas de los frayles menores" (Chronicles of the minor friars). The aim of this magnum opus was to present models of holiness among lay women, which could serve as examples to women of all social classes, especially in the Italian cities, from the thirteenth to fifteenth century.
