Abstract

Given the impossibility of maintaining an economic model of these characteristics in the current context of scarcity of resources and growth in consumption, the circular economy appears as an innovative and transformative alternative to the current economic system. The transition to circularity is not only intended to meet today's global challenges, but also represents an opportunity to ensure long-term well-being and prosperity. There are multiple institutional actions to adapt to the climate crisis and mitigate its effects, the only thing that remains to be added to the equation are social awareness and collective action.
