dc.description.abstractThe present paper studies the nature of the phenomenon called Differential Object Marking (DOM hereafter), a device that distinguishes direct objects (DO) by a morphological marker (typically, a preposition). The study focuses on Catalan, paying special attention to the Barcelonese geolect, namely the Catalan variety spoken in the metropolitan area of Barcelona.ca
