[spa] En la concepción de sistemas de transporte público colectivo es fundamental considerar el desarrollo del territorio articulado con los usos del suelo. Es en ese marco que surge la metodología de Desarrollo Orientada al Transporte (DOT), que ha sido aplicada durante las últimas décadas en varios territorios con mayor o menor grado de éxito. En este estudio se hizo una revisión bibliográfica que permitió identificar algunos casos que lograron implementar de manera exitosa proyectos basados en los principios DOT. Una revisión detallada de las condiciones que se dieron durante la concepción de cada uno de esos proyectos, fueron claves para la generación de unas lecciones replicables para el caso de Transmilenio en Bogotá. Elementos relacionados con la normativa, los instrumentos de planificación, de gestión del suelo y la financiación se revelaron como claves en este proceso, así como la institucionalidad y la capacidad de gestión. Un análisis complementado con la opinión de expertos en DOT permitió la comprensión de sus implicaciones en el sistema Transmilenio.
[eng] In the conception of transit systems it is essential to consider the development of the territory articulated with land uses. It is within this framework that the Transport Oriented Development (TOD) methodology emerges, which has been applied during the last decades in several territories with a greater or lesser degree of success. In this study a bibliographic review was made that allowed to identify some cases that successfully implemented projects based on the TOD principles. A detailed review of the conditions that occurred during the conception of each of these projects, were key to the generation of replicable lessons for the Transmilenio case in Bogotá. Elements related to regulations, planning instruments, land management and financing were revealed as keys in this process, as well as institutionality and management capacity. An analysis complemented by the opinion of experts in TOD allowed the understanding of its implications in the Transmilenio system.
